At home
Barbecue
Every time people asked me “Where do I go for barbecue?” I would always say “Come to my parents on a Sunday!” I was joking... Until I thought of it and decided to open this experience to visitors, since there's no better barbecue than the one we do at home. We pick you up at an arranged time, and we come straight to the place where the ritual begins. You will understand how we start the wood fire; we’ll show you the cuts we choose (very specific barbecue cuts), you will also learn how to make chimichurri sauce… all of this paired with a nice laid-back environment, just as we do on a Sunday with friends and family.
Empanada + wine tasting lesson!
Discover all the secrets of a good empanada, minced with learning a bit about 3 local wines.
If your nose and your taste buds are ok, you can understand wine. It's pure chemistry and I will explain the secrets behind tasting in detail.
So, forget about “Ahá” when you actually want to say “I don't have a clue”, or “where's the X*º*@ cassis everyone keeps mentioning?”.
I can hand you a little Malbec Expert Diploma at the end of the evening 😊
I belong to a family of expert empanada makers! And I am a happy and enthusiastic apprentice:
My Italian ancestors had a fonda (restaurant for workers), at the port city of Campana, where the first cold meat store in Argentina was located (a lot of beef was exported by ship those days - mainly to the UK).
This was a huge restaurant feeding lots of workers (most of whom were European immigrants).
My grandpa (born in 1928) still shares these recipes with me.
Ready? We will get to the soul of empanadas while we discover the wines that accompany us all throughout the experience.
