Tango @ Milongas

Milonga is the place where locals go to for Tango. There's a different place to go to, according to the day of the week. My favorite one is Charlie's milonga, because there's live music. Local tango players show up and delight us with their art. Every Wednesday, Charlie starts off with beginner and intermediate lessons at 8.30 and 9.30 pm, respectively, and ends with live tango music, followed by dancing. The dancing means that the locals just take over the dance floor, and you get to practice or just watch, as you please. Empanadas and wine are served. This is an authentic tango experience that may last until 2 am.

Anticipate crazy long Argentinian gatherings by having a power nap before leaving your hotel (strongly recommended).

Local artists - Live music

For some reason it's difficult as a visitor to come across info on live music, local players and so on... Where to go? Who's playing what, and where?

I am friends with renowned local musicians of different genres and I myself sing! So, I suggest that we go to my artist friends' house for dinner: it could be barbecue or any other regional meal... They delight us with some music, and we share a beautiful evening together. How about that?
